The only reason I see to pay for the ALU cloud service is if you don’t have a PC that can run higher end games. If you’re interested, there’s a Youtube video. Some folks have re-wired ALU controls to a special encoder for consoles but I didn’t want to mess with that. Consoles will not be able to use ALU controls when plugged into the ALU, but if you’re an Xbox guy you can stream games from the Xbox service to the ALU on your PC. I don’t know if other front ends will work.

After you install the update, controls for Mame games in Next will work, but for other systems you’ll need to config controls in each emulator (I’ve had limited success with this). You need a special update for Arcade Netlink (Pdubs has a video). You can also run Coinops Next through your PC for free. Coinopsx will run games using the AtGames hardware so it caps out at around the NFL Blitz level. That’s as easy as setting up the drive and plugging it in. You can run coinopsx using a USB flash drive as well for free. A fan revival that is VERY IMPRESSIVE which include 7 different bosses and different boyfriend skins to choose from. This is a revival of the Castle Crashers Boss Rush mod, created by Banbuds. I’ve found that in many games you will need to configure the Dpad to joystick move as well. A mod of Friday Night Funkin where Boyfriend enter the Castle Crashers universe as a Knight rap-battling different Bosses of the game.

For OTG, there’s minor config involved - Restalgia has a Youtube video on how to do it. The GT1030 is not compatible, which I note only because it’s a popular and affordable low end emulation card.įor streaming, the controls will be plug and play when you enter big picture mode in Steam. Only certain graphics cards are compatible (See FAQ on AtGames website). I also recommend Ethernet connections for both the ALU and PC for best performance.
To stream, you will need to download the free Arcade Netlink app from the AtGames website. If you have pinball buttons, they will only work when streaming. If so, with Steam, there are two ways to connect - OTG (hardwired to USB and HDMI ports) or streaming. I’m assuming the gamer pro has similar functionality.
